Speakers:

Anita Tait is an Accredited Practising Dietitian and Pharmacologist and has gained experience for the last 16 years within multiple industries including corporate health, food manufacturing, biotechnology and the pharmaceutical industry. Anita currently works at Microba, a microbial genomics company, where she is involved in educating Gastroenterologists, General Practitioners and Dietitians on the links between the gut microbiome with health and disease. She also consults privately in two Brisbane clinics through her business, Anita Gut Dietitian, where she specialises in gastrointestinal conditions. Anita is passionate about communicating gut microbiome and nutrition science to wider audiences and has led various educational events including a Gut Health Symposium and webinar on the links between metabolic disease and the gut microbiome. She has also written for several publications including Allied Health Magazine, Echo Chamber Escape, Happy Ali Global News and Kids Fit Australia.

Emma Blank has enjoyed working with clients, and their families, living with the experience of specific feeding, eating and food tolerance issues over the past 12 years. Emma has worked intensively in the mental health sector and with multidisciplinary paediatric teams in the private sector to glean a broad understanding of the biopsychosocial determinants of eating problems. Emma's special interest in blending whole foods for tube feeding was a natural progression of both her curiosity and patient-centered approach to care. Emma owns and operates a busy private practice "Emma Earley & Co' in Brisbane.

Dr. Fiona Willer (AdvAPD, PhD, FHEA, MAICD) is an Australian dietitian, academic, educator and health advocate with a long career straddling both higher education and the private sector. Her academic research involves health consciousness, dietary quality and the integration of weight-neutral lifestyle approaches (including Health at Every Size®) into healthcare practice. Fiona has served on the boards of HAES Australia, ASDAH and now Dietitians Australia and is the creator of the innovative Unpacking Weight Science professional development podcast.

Glenn Cardwell
(BSc, Grad Dip Diet, Grad Dip App Sc, AdvAPD) is an Advanced Accredited Practising Dietitian with 40 years of experience in clinical and public health nutrition. He has been invited to present in every state and territory in Australia and eight other countries, always trying to convert complex ideas into simple messages. Collaborating with farmers, he has promoted the nutrition and health benefits of mushrooms, bananas, cherries and asparagus. He has advised both the public and the fresh produce industry, and given lectures to health professionals and university students. He has written four books, including one that has been translated into Russian and Mandarin, and is a second term director of Dietitians Australia.

Liz Crowe has two and a half decades of expertise in grief, crisis, end of life care, bereavement work and staff wellbeing in pediatric critical care environments. Liz currently works at the RBWH providing consultation, coaching, counselling and education for staff wellbeing. She is in the absolute final stages of completing her PhD examining risk and protective factors for staff wellbeing in critical care. Liz is a published academic involved in multiple research projects nationally and internationally focusing on the wellbeing of staff and the impact of COVID on clinicians. Liz is a passionate and humorous educator who regularly speaks internationally. Liz is the successful author of ‘The Little Book of Loss and Grief You Can Read While You Cry’. She is a proud member of the St Emlyn’s education team and an active member of #FOAMed, and can be found on Twitter @LizCrowe2.

Tim Crowe is an Advanced Accredited Practising Dietitian who has spent most of his career in the world of university nutrition teaching and research covering diverse research areas of basic laboratory research, clinical nutrition intervention trials and public health nutrition, with over 40 peer-reviewed journal publications to his name. He now works chiefly as a freelance health and medical writer and scientific consultant. He has an active media profile and a large social media following through his Thinking Nutrition blog and podcast.
