Speakers:

Ellen Payne is an Accredited Practising Dietitian and a current PhD candidate based at the University of Newcastle's Department of Rural Health located in Tamworth NSW. As a dietitian, Ellen has worked throughout rural and regional NSW delivering dietetics services to a broad range of patients, including women with diabetes in pregnancy. Ellen’s research focuses on healthcare delivery for women with diabetes in pregnancy in rural areas.

Jennifer Utter holds a conjoint position between Bond University and Mater Health and in Queensland, Australia. Her current research explores how the eating behaviours of health care workers affects their well-being and advocates for a healthier food environment for healthcare staff. Previously she spent 15 years at the School of Population Health, University of Auckland in New Zealand where her research focused on improving the nutritional wellbeing of young people.

Sally McCray is the Director of Dietetics and Foodservices at Mater Group, Brisbane. She has worked clinically in hospitals across public and private sectors, in Australia and in Canada. She was a key leader in the implementation of Australia’s first hospital room service model at Mater in 2013, 2015 and 2016 and has published outcome research on room service in national and international peer reviewed journals. She is passionate about using technology and data analytics to help achieve improved patient clinical and organizational outcomes and advocates for dietitians with their unique skill set to contribute to achieving these. She holds an Honorary Associate Professor position at Mater Research Institute – University of Queensland and an Honorary Adjunct Assistant Professor with Bond University, Faculty of Health Sciences and Medicine.
