Our presenters will walk you through the essential elements of a top-quality abstract, highlighting the dos and don'ts, and sharing tips about what Dietitians Australia's conference program selectors look for.

This session will help all dietitians no matter your area of practice, or work setting.

Speakers:

Annabelle Wilson is a Senior Research Fellow and Advanced Accredited Practising Dietitian (AdvAPD) working in the College of Medicine and Public Health and Flinders University in South Australia, She has extensive experience in public health and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health research. She is currently the Chair of the Dietitians Australia Scientific and Social Program Committee (SSPC) for the 2022 Dietitians Australia Conference.

Lauren Ball is a Principal Research Fellow and NHMRC Investigator at Griffith University in Queensland. She has published over 125 peer-reviewed scientific articles and attracted over $13 million in research funding from government bodies, non-government organisations and philanthropic foundations. She has extensive experience writing abstracts, as she is a Regional Editor for the Journal of Human Nutrition and Dietetics, Associate Editor for the Australian Journal of Primary Health and also Family Practice journal.
