Murradambirra Dhangaang (make food secure): sharing Aboriginal community voices on food insecurity in urban and regional NSW

This webinar is brought to you by the Dietitians Australia Education Centre as part of NAIDOC Week (2023).

About the webinar:

The webinar will share a research project that was co-created with Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services and ensures the privileging of Aboriginal voices to share the experiences and factors driving food insecurity from the perspective of two Aboriginal communities in urban and regional NSW. The webinar will describe the key areas identified by the partner Aboriginal communities impacting on food insecurity in their local areas, a food security planning tool developed by communities and suggestions for solutions that could support food security.

Apply it to practice:

Understanding the drivers of food insecurity from the perspective of Aboriginal communities in urban and regional NSW will allow dietitians to use that knowledge to develop actions that are informed by Aboriginal community-led research.
