The Centre for Advanced Learning (CAL) is excited to bring you the Biochemistry Foundations for Dietitians Evergreen course - Toolkit 2: Dietary patterns and impact on biochemical parameters (part 1).
Audience: this course is designed for dietitians with 1 – 3 years’ experience in practice. This course can also be used as a refresher if you are returning to practice within this area.
- Identify health dietary patterns and recognise the relationship between dietary patterns, foods, and nutrients
- Discuss the effect of dietary patterns on biochemical parameters and health
- Confidently interpret test results, in context with dietary patterns and other available information, to provide practical nutrition advice and education
This is the second of 3 toolkits in the Biochemistry Foundations for Dietitians Evergreen course. The aim of this toolkit is to consider the impact of dietary patterns on biochemical indices and how these link to diet-related non-communicable disease, and to extend confidence in interpreting biochemical test results together with other available information into practical, nutrition advice.
