The Centre for Advanced Learning (CAL) is excited to bring you the Biochemistry Foundations for Dietitians Evergreen course - Toolkit 3: Dietary patterns and impact on biochemical parameters (part 2).

Audience: this course is designed for dietitians with 1 – 3 years’ experience in practice. This course can also be used as a refresher if you are returning to practice within this area.

Learning outcomes:
  • Discuss the effect of health dietary patterns on biochemical parameters and health
  • Explain the impact of these on non-communicable disease (NCD)
  • Confidently interpret test results, in context with dietary patterns and other available information, to provide practical nutrition advice and education

Course overview:

This is the third of 3 toolkits in the Biochemistry Foundations for Dietitians Evergreen course. The aim of this toolkit is to extend on Toolkit 2, and to consider the impact of dietary patterns on biochemical indices and how these link to diet-related non-communicable disease, and to extend confidence in interpreting biochemical test results together with other available information into practical, nutrition advice.


Access to the course: new registrants will be automatically uploaded to the Learning Management System (LMS). Instructions for accessing the course will be included in the order confirmation email. Registrants will have access to the course for 12 months from their enrolment date.

Format: Evergreen courses are entirely online and self-paced.

CPD hours: this module is worth 2 CPD hours.

Note: individual modules do not qualify for a Professional Certificate. Professional Certificates are awarded to those who complete the full course only.
