The Centre for Advanced Learning (CAL) is excited to bring you the Menopause Nutrition Foundations for Dietitians Evergreen course.

Audience: this course is designed for dietitians with 1 – 3 years’ experience in practice. This course can also be used as a refresher if you are returning to practice within this area.

Learning outcomes:
  • To provide a foundational understanding of menopause and its physiological aspects, along with nutritional strategies for symptom management and chronic condition management
  • To focus on the application of nutritional knowledge, including holistic approaches, effective communication, and interdisciplinary collaboration, to support dietitians to develop personalised nutrition plans.

Course overview:

Over 2 modules, the course provides information, resources, recommended readings and case studies to enhance your active learning experience.

Module 1 is called 'Foundations and Therapeutic Nutrition in Menopause'. The aim of this module is to provide a foundational understanding of menopause and its physiological aspects, along with detailed nutritional strategies for symptom management and chronic condition management.

Module 2 is called 'Applied Nutrition and Professional Practice in Menopause'. The aim of this module is to focus on the application of nutritional knowledge, including holistic approaches, effective communication, and interdisciplinary collaboration, to support dietitians to develop personalised nutrition plans.


Access to the course: the course will open on the Learning Portal on 3 June 2024. Registrants will be notified via email once the course has opened. This email will include information for accessing the course. Registrants will have access to the course for 12 months from their enrolment date.

Format: Evergreen courses are entirely online and self-paced.

CPD hours: this course is worth 12 CPD hours.

Certificate: upon completion of the course, you will be able to download your Professional Certificate from the Learning Management System (LMS).
