Audience: this foundational course is designed for dietitians with 1 – 3 years’ experience in practice. This course can also be used as a refresher if you are returning to practice within this area.
Learning outcomes:
- To provide a foundational understanding of menopause and its physiological aspects, along with nutritional strategies for symptom management and chronic condition management
- To focus on the application of nutritional knowledge, including holistic approaches, effective communication, and interdisciplinary collaboration, to support dietitians to develop personalised nutrition plans.
Course overview:
Over 2 modules, the course provides information, resources, recommended readings and case studies to enhance your active learning experience.
Module 1 is called 'Foundations and Therapeutic Nutrition in Menopause'. The aim of this module is to provide a foundational understanding of menopause and its physiological aspects, along with detailed nutritional strategies for symptom management and chronic condition management.
Module 2 is called 'Applied Nutrition and Professional Practice in Menopause'. The aim of this module is to focus on the application of nutritional knowledge, including holistic approaches, effective communication, and interdisciplinary collaboration, to support dietitians to develop personalised nutrition plans.
Access to the course: new registrants will be automatically uploaded to the Learning Portal. Instructions for accessing the course will be included in the order confirmation email. Registrants will have access to the course for 12 months from their enrolment date.
Format: Evergreen courses are entirely online and self-paced.
CPD hours: this module may be worth 12 CPD hours if the activity aligns with your CPD learning goals. CPD logs will need to be updated manually after course completion to reflect the number of hours taken by the individual to complete the course.
Certificate: upon completion of the course, you will be able to download your Professional Certificate from the Learning Portal.
