In response to feedback from the leadership committees and the wider membership, new By-Laws governing Dietitians Australia's Engagement and Development Committees (EDCs), Interest Groups (IGs) and Discussion Groups (DGs) have been passed by the Board and will come into effect Thursday 1 July 2021.

We're changing how we talk about our different groups and communities

Our State and Territory Engagement Development Committees (or EDCs) will become known as Branches.

Our Discussion Groups (DGs) are also being merged with Interest Groups (IGs) to give new strength and support to the valuable work being undertaken in these communities. The streamlined processes as a result of the new By-Laws will make it easier for our groups and communities to get on with their important work. The merging of DGs with IGs will improve cooperation and collaboration, whilst the updated terminology is both clearer and in keeping with other peak industry bodies.

Temporary disruption to service

Share Plate will undergo maintenance between Wednesday 30 June and Friday 2 July as we implement these changes.
As a result, the ‘Share Plate communities’ tab will be inaccessible from your member profile. This means you will not be able to leave or join communities. While you will still be able to interact with Share Plate, you may experience possible disruptions to Share Plate and the member portal during this period.
