Terms and Conditions

By registering into an Education Centre course or event, including event recordings in the Shop, you agree to the following terms.

Registration

  • Payment in full is needed at the time of registration to an event or course.
  • The participant will not share their registration, links, videos and/or other materials obtained as part of the registration. If the participant is found to have shared their registration and or materials, they will be removed from the event or course.
  • The Education Centre reserves the right to cancel courses or events at any time.
  • The participant has made a sound judgement that the course or event meets their professional development and learning needs.
  • One (1) participant per enrolment, unless a group or organisational registration has been organised.
  • Acknowledge that information provided about an event or course is correct at the time of publication. Due to unforeseen or uncontrollable circumstances, there may be a need to alter the format, content, speaker(s), facilitator(s), timing, and/or other elements of the event or course.

Centre for Advanced Learning Courses

  • Course commencement will begin at the date upon which the registration fee is paid in full.
  • The participant has read and acknowledges information about the course on the course registration page.

Education Centre Events

  • The participant has read and acknowledges information about the event on the event registration page.
  • Access to webinar links and event information will be provided once the registration fee is paid in full.
  • An Accredited Practicing Dietitians’ (APD) continuing professional development (CPD) logs will be automatically updated unless otherwise specified on the event registration page. If a participant’s APD status is not current, any CPD logged during this time will not be automatically updated.

Access

Centre for Advanced Learning

  • Access to any Evergreen course is valid for 12 months only, commencing at the date upon which the registration fee is paid in full.
  • If participants cannot complete an Evergreen course by the enrolment expiry date, a 3-month course extension will be available upon payment of a $40 administration fee.

Education Centre Events

  • Access to Education Centre events is valid during the specified time and date listed.

Recordings

  • Not all events and courses are recorded, however this information will be outlined on the event or course registration page.
  • In the instance that an event or course is not recorded, failure to attend will not result in a registration refund.
  • In the instance an event or course is recorded, access to the recording will be sent via email to the email address provided in the above registration 1-5 business days after the event.
  • Under no circumstances are event or course recordings to be shared.
  • Participants acknowledge that if they engage during recorded courses and events, their name, image, and/or voice may be included in the recording.

Refunds

  • Dietitians Australia will not take responsibility for any errors, omissions and changes to the event or course and reserves the right to make necessary changes without penalty, and in such situations no refunds shall be made.
  • Dietitians Australia will not provide refunds for coupon codes or discounts that the registrant did not apply during registration.
  • Dietitians Australia will not provide partial refunds to existing registrants if the price of an event or course is discounted.

Centre for Advanced Learning Courses

  • No refunds will be given for course registrations.

Education Centre Events

  • Virtual event registrations for an event may be cancelled by the registrant up to 48 hours prior to the event date. No refunds will be issued after this time.
  • Face-to-face event registrations may be cancelled by the registrant prior to the event registration deadline. No refunds will be issued after this time.
  • No refunds will be issued if there is failure to attend the live event.
  • No refunds will be issued for event recording in the Shop once the access to the recording has been given.

Conference

Cancellations must be notified in writing to the Conference Manager at [email protected].

Registration cancellations
  • Cancellations before Friday 21 June 2024 will incur a A$150.00 cancellation fee.
  • Cancellations on or after Saturday 22 June 2024 are 100% non-refundable.
  • Part cancellations eg. additional social event tickets, one day tickets, before Saturday 22 June 2024 will incur a A$25.00 cancellation fee per item.
Social Ticket cancellations
  • Cancellations on or after Saturday 22 June 2024 are 100% non-refundable.
  • Part cancellations eg. additional social event tickets, one day tickets, before Saturday 22 June 2024 will incur a A$25.00 cancellation fee per item.
Workshop / Tour cancellations
  • Cancellations on or after Saturday 22 June 2024 are 100% non-refundable.
  • Part cancellations eg. additional social event tickets, one day tickets, before Saturday 22 June 2024 will incur a A$25.00 cancellation fee per item.
Transferring registration
  • Participants may not sell, transfer, or share their registration to an event or course.

Course materials

  • Course materials are available via the Learning Management System (LMS), unless otherwise specified in the course description, and some course material may not be downloadable. Some courses have the option of downloading and printing the materials.
  • The content of the online materials, including copyright and all other such intellectual property rights contained therein, remain the property of Dietitians Australia. Reproduction of any part of the online course materials without the prior written consent from Dietitians Australia is prohibited.
  • Course content is subject to change.
  • Course CPD hours are estimates only.
  • The Learning Management System site may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance and updates; however, all participants will be given notice to any upcoming disruptions to course access.
  • Participants will need a computer and/or device running a current operating system with reliable high-speed internet access.
  • Course materials that contain open access journal articles may be subject to change overtime and may not be freely accessible. There is no guarantee that Journal articles will remain open access for the longevity of a course. However, access to these articles will not impact on a participant’s ability to complete an assessment task, case-study or any other course activities.
  • Education Centre will not be held accountable when user computer systems do not meet the requirements of course content.
  • Re-issuing of certificates for courses is available however will incur a $40 administration fee.

Consent

  • Dietitians Australia may use photographic, video, digital images and/or audio, in which participants may appear in, their biographical material, or other information in publications and online (including but not limited to brochures, booklets, videos, reports, press releases, websites, and social media) the purposes of education, information, promotion and public relations connected with Dietitians Australia.
  • Participants release and indemnify Dietitians Australia from any loss, damage, cost, expense, or claim arising out of the use of their image, voice, biographical material, or other information about themselves, including action for defamation, libellous material, breach of privacy, or copyright.
  • Please refer to the Privacy (“Policy”) that covers Dietitians Australia’s collection, holding, use and disclosure of Personal Information.
