  • How he has used nutrition for performance

Speakers:

Shaun Burgonye is like a fine wine. As the years roll on, he only appears to gain more time, space and composure with the ball in hand. The now-37-year-old finished the year on 379 games - surpassing the previous record by an Indigenous player - and is the oldest active AFL player. Hawthorn's Mr Fix It, Burgoyne was typically thrust into an array of different positions across the course of the 2019 season, regularly demonstrating his silky skills while averaging 16 disposals a game at 78 per cent efficiency. The question on everyone's lips now; will he make it to 400? While the feat is unlikely to occur in season 2020, incredible things tend to happen when Shaun Burgoyne is involved.
