An Introduction to Working with Body Image: Part 3

The Eating Disorders Interest Group (EDIG) has had the privilege of hosting a professional development series aimed at introducing body image work for dietitians.  The third and final online workshop in this series, will consolidate the key learnings from the first two webinars and focus on the practical implementation of body image work as dietitians.

During the upcoming webinar workshop, participants will:

- Consolidate learnings from the first two webinars, **
- Develop a deeper understanding of body image work as it relates to dietitians and its impact on consumers’ eating experiences through the discussion of case studies,
- Be given the opportunity to define how body image work may fit into their practice,
- Be offered practical role-play examples, with tangible instances that they can apply in their practice,
- Explore and understand clinical situations that require referral to specialised care,
- Time will be allocated for discussing clinical cases and addressing any barriers to introducing body image work into client sessions.

** Note: watching the first two webinars is not a requirement to attend the final online workshop, but it is strongly encouraged to broaden the knowledge of body image work for dietitians. The first two webinars are available from Dietitians Australia Shop: An Introduction to Working with Body Image for Dietitians and An Introduction to Working with Body Image: Part 2.

This webinar is brought to you by the Eating Disorder Interest Group (2024).
