Nutrition Management in Cirrhosis with a body composition and frailty lens

Chronic liver disease is the third leading cause of premature death among Australians aged 50–59 years. There remains a growing need for evidence-based guidelines and recommendations to improve outcomes for patients living with cirrhosis and portal hypertension.

In this webinar, Dr Heidi Johnston and another speaker (To be confirmed) will present their insights from the recent GESA consensus recommendations for the management of portal hypertension in cirrhosis and discuss frailty in advanced liver disease and share findings from the national needs assessment survey on frailty practices.

This webinar is brought to you by the Dietitian Australia Gastroenterology Interest Group (2026).
