This webinar is aimed at eating disorder dietitians working or interested in delivering services in the private practice sector.

 

Three experience presenters will engage in topical discussions highlighting the advantages and challenges of working in the private practice sector. 

 

 

Speakers: 
Fumi Somehara is a Japanese-Australian Dietitian and Credentialed Eating Disorder Clinician. She is the director of DDD Centre for Recovery, a private practice dedicated to supporting individuals, dancers, and performing artists with food and body image concerns, RED-S, and eating disorders/disordered eating.
Michelle Theodosi is an experienced Accredited Practising Dietitian, Credentialed Eating Disorder Dietitian and Founding Director of The Lifestyle Dietitian, a Sydney based private practice. Michelle is one of a handful of dietitians in Australia with qualifications in both Dietetics and Psychology and is passionate about helping individuals with a poor relationship towards food and body, change their mindset so that they can live happier, healthier lives. In her spare time, Michelle enjoys cooking, going out for a delicious meal, playing piano and taking her French bulldog for walks.

Jodie Sheraton is a Credentialed Eating Disorder Clinician, Accredited Dietitian and Accredited Nutritionist, graduating from the University of Newcastle. She is the founder of two private practice companies; Optimum Intake Dietitians and Myrtle Oak Clinic, an eating disorder focused service that is driven to inspire health, wellbeing and recovery in a meaningful way through enjoyment, satisfaction, self-care and nourishment. With over 15 years’ experience working in private practice and the field of eating disorders, Jodie has worked in both the public health and private practice settings, received training in, and is experienced with delivering, several eating disorder treatment models for both individuals and families. Her area of interest lies with providing supervision to other clinicians within private practice wanting to further their skills working with evidence-based treatments, particularly Maudsley Family based Therapy. Jodie also holds position as a Committee Member of the Dietitians Australia Eating Disorder Interest Group and is a member of the Australian and New Zealand Academy of Eating Disorders.
