Seeking your help for our public website
Dietitians Australia is looking for Expressions of Interest (EOIs) to peer-review content for the health advice section for our public website.
Research in 2021 revealed that our website visitors are looking for
detailed nutrition advice. This includes general advice on healthy eating, as well as specific
diet and lifestyle topics.
With thanks to our Interest Groups and other experts we have witten health advice on a range of topics.
To ensure our health advice content is evidence-based and uses the latest scientific information, we are seeking the help of independent peer-reviewers to participate in a final review of the content.
Health advice topics
We are currently seeking peer-reviewers for the following health topics:
The requirement
Our aim is for health advice content to be evidence-based, useful, credible, findable and accessible.
We'll be asking reviewers to comment on accuracy, as well as appropriateness of the advice and external resources.
We will not be expecting comments on grammar and style. Comments on language and accessibility may be required for topics targeting certain audiences. For further details see our peer-review guidelines.
Each health advice topic page is around 500 to 1000 words and takes approximately 5 minutes to read. We anticipate the time required to review and provide feedback on the content would be around one hour.
To ensure the website meets its publication milestones, the turnaround time frame for peer-review feedback will be 10 business days from supply of the content.
Peer-reviewers would be acknowledged with an appreciation certificate and a note on your Dietitians Australia service record. It can also count as CPD if it aligns with your learning goals.
Eligibility criteria
We’re looking for peer-reviewers who have either 5 years’ experience on the topic of the health advice page OR are Advanced APDs.
If you would like to review more than one topic, please indicate your topics and associated experience on the EOI form.
