Patient Centred Care in Clients with Physical Disabilities

Dietitians will learn how to develop a positive and empowering relationship with their clients who live with physical disabilities.

Persons with physical disabilities may benefit from altered communication styles, physical access to treatment centres and a humanising the clinical dietetic approach. Members of the Australian Federation for Disability Organisation will guide discussions on the lived experience of a physical disability and introduce strategies on how Dietitians can personalise their approach to nutrition therapy to provide person centred care.

It is recommended that the pre-recorded webinar Introduction to Physical Disabilities is watched in preparation for this webinar. It is currently complimentary and available for download from the Shop.
