Audience: this course is designed for dietitians with 1 – 3 years’ experience in practice. This course can also be used as a refresher if you are returning to practice within this area.
- Outline the processes by which the body reacts to insult

This module is the first of 3 modules in the Nutrition Support for Critical Care Evergreen course. The aim of this module is to help dietitians understand what is happening at a metabolic level while a patient is critically ill, and be able to assess and monitor nutrition requirements in accordance with the physiological demands of critical illness.
