The Centre for Advanced Learning (CAL) and Australian Federation of Disability Organisations (AFDO) are excited to bring you the 'NDIS Reporting in Practice' virtual course. This course is available as part of the Capacity Building for Dietitians in Disability (CBDD) education program.  

This course was designed for dietitians who have completed the Introduction to Disability and Inclusion for Dietitians Evergreen course.

Learning outcomes

  • Further skills in writing successful NDIS support letters and in completing NDIS reporting
  • Incorporate the International Classification of Function (ICF) framework and the biopsychosocial model when compiling NDIS support letters or reports
  • Further build proficiency to clearly demonstrate request for services or supports in meeting NDIS requirements

 

Educator

Michelle Livy has worked as a dietitian for over 20 years in hospital, private practice and community health settings. Over the last 7 years, Michelle has been specialising in disability care and is on the Leadership Committee for the Dietitians Australia Disability Interest Group. She has been involved in the development, implementation and evaluation of a Disability Service Model and Your Community Health and its continued adaptation for NDIS. Michelle has experience educating disability support staff in regards to good nutrition and safe swallowing. She has also completed training in art therapy techniques and is using this to increase the vibrancy and interactivity of nutrition education and behaviour change support. 

This in Practice session is worth 3 CPD hours. CPD logs will be updated automatically in the days following the event.
