Format: this event recording package is entirely online and self-paced.

Continuing professional development: this full-day event may be worth a total of 10 CPD hours if the learning intention aligns with your learning goals. There are 4 hours of online content in addition to 6 hours of learning through the presentation recordings.

Speakers:

Dr Stephanie Pirotta is an APD and adjunct research fellow at Monash University, Melbourne, Australia. Her PhD informed the development of a PCOS community based lifestyle program. Now her work focuses on women's health lifestyle management, with particular interest areas in PCOS, infertility and chronic pelvic pain. Alongside her research, Steph works clinically, being the founder and lead dietitian at Womanly Nutrition and Dietetics where she translates the latest nutrition and other lifestyle recommendations into clinical care for women experiencing a range of conditions such as PCOS, chronic pelvic pain, endometriosis/adenomyosis and more. Steph is also an accredited Eating Disorder dietitian and finds working in this space extremely rewarding.

Sharnie Dwyer is an Accredited Practising Dietitian and PhD candidate. Her clinical practice covers all aspects of women's health and fertility while her doctoral research focuses on the role of dietitians in endometriosis care and evidence-based dietary strategies to support symptom management. Sharnie is passionate about delivering holistic, patient-centred care, integrating clinical experience with emerging research to improve patient outcomes.

Lorna Berry lives with PCOS and continues to navigate the challenges of weight stigma and diet culture, this challenge has been a theme from childhood. Drawing on her personal experience, she has become an advocate for women with PCOS, challenging harmful stereotypes and promoting a more compassionate, evidence-based approach to care. For over 20 years, Lorna has been involved in PCOS guideline development, working with in a global team, alongside healthcare professionals, researchers, and women with lived experience to ensure their voices are heard and their needs are prioritised.

Associate Professor Shelley Wilkinson is an Advanced Accredited Practising Dietitian and has a PhD in Psychology. Her healthcare-embedded research programs have significantly impacted maternal health care across Australia, leading to reduced medication use in GDM, improved diet, weight and increased physical activity measures.Her co-created work has mapped women’s nutritional status, health behaviours and needs around preconception and in pregnancy, as well as women’s preferences in the postnatal period. She is currently a project officer the Department of Obstetric Medicine at the Mater Mothers' Hospitals in Brisbane facilitating collaborative and innovative service redesign projects to improve women’s long-term cardio-metabolic health. Prior to this she was Mater Mother’s Hospitals Senior Research Dietitian for over 12 years.

Dr Adriana Ventura is a Clinical and Health psychologist, as well as a Credentialed Eating Disorder Clinician and Board-Approved Supervisor. Dr Ventura's work is grounded in evidence-based care, compassion and a whole-person approach – especially for those navigating trauma, chronic health challenges, and eating disorders. As someone who has walked the difficult road of infertility, she understands how deeply our emotional and physical experiences are intertwined, and in 2025 she published a free eBook on coping with infertility, which has been recommended by the Centre of Perinatal Excellence (COPE).

Catherine Vallence advocates for improved health outcomes for women who experience Involuntary Childlessness through Treatment Loss or Circumstance (ICTLC). Using my lived experience in infertility, IVF, pregnancy bereavement and loss, I act as a consumer adviser with such research groups as CRE-WHiRL, MCHRI, UNSW Big Data Research, NPESU, and the YourIVFSuccess platform. I have also had the opportunity to be a stakeholder in the AIHW's new Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) Unit. Professionally, I was an Optometrist for 28 years and also worked with the Vic Department of Health as a Contact Tracer during Covid, all of which helps in the context of health advocacy.

Associate Professor Susan de Jersey is an Advanced Accredited Practicing Dietitian and Credentialled Diabetes Educator at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital, Co- Manager of the Supporting Healthier Pregnancies Initiative, Prevention Strategy Branch, Queensland Health, and Program Leader in the Centre for Health Services Research at the University of Queensland. Susan and the teams she works with focus on ensuring women have access to wholistic care that supports their current and future health at important life stages. Susan has a national reputation as an expert and leader in nutrition and metabolic health particularly for women. She is currently Vice President and Board Director for the Australasian Diabetes in Pregnancy Society.

Professor Helena Teede (MBBS, FRACP, FAAHMS, FRANZCOG, FRCOG, PhD, AM) is a clinician endocrinologist and an academic in women’s health. She holds an NHMRC L3 Investigator Fellowship in Women’s Health implementation and impact’. She is Director Monash Centre for Health Research and Implementation, has over 750 publications and $90M in career grant funding. She is a world leader in women’s health including in fields across PCOS, health lifestyle and health pregnancy. She focuses on the interplay between metabolic and reproductive health. She has worked extensively with Professor Lisa Moran, a leading dietitian in this area. She is also the President of the International Society of Endocrinology and Chairs a WHO Task Force on healthy weight in pregnancy and is on Council for the Australian Academy of Health and Medical Sciences.

Dr Samantha Kozica-Olenski is a Research Fellow and Research Coordinator at the Monash Centre of Health Research and Implementation (MCHRI), School of Public Health, Monash University. A clinical dietitian with over 15 years’ experience in public, community and private sectors, her research focuses on improving menopause service delivery and women’s experiences to optimise health outcomes. Samantha contributed to the 2024 update of the Premature Ovarian Insufficiency (POI) guidelines and provided nutrition expertise for accompanying resources, including the development of menopause app content.

Clinical Professor Amanda Vincent, a clinician researcher, combines clinical practice in menopause with menopause related research, translation and education. She is lead endocrinologist in the Menopause clinics, Monash Health with over 20 years experience. As Head of Early Menopause Research, Monash Centre for Health Research and Implementation (MCHRI), Monash University, she has 100+ publications and successful grant funding in projects related to menopause, bone health, digital health, consumer and health professional education including the Ask Early menopause App (www.askearlymenopause.org). Clinical A/Professor Vincent is Past President of the Australasian Menopause Society and current board member of the International Menopause Society.

Amie Armstrong is an experienced leader in the education, health, and not-for-profit sectors, with expertise in project management, marketing, and stakeholder engagement. She currently works with Monash Health’s Women’s Health & Research Translation Network (WHRTN), Doxa Youth Foundation (DYF) and Equity Trustees, managing community engagement, Scholarship programs, fundraising, and communications initiatives. Previously, Amie led student engagement programs at MONSU Caulfield and held senior marketing and management roles in both Australia and the UK. Holding a Masters Applied Commerce (Marketing) from the University of Melbourne, Amie is passionate about collaboration, community involvement, and creating meaningful impact through her work.

Leslie Arnott is the Consumer Engagement Specialist at University of Melbourne's Centre for Digital Transformation of Health (CDTH) and the Consumer Partnerships Lead at Monash University's Centre for Health Research Implementation. As an experienced in-house Consumer Expert she develops and advances Consumer and Community Involvement (CCI) across CDTH's education, informatics and digital innovation projects, working towards embedding health consumers as partners in all research activities. As an experienced Consumer Advisor/Advocate in women's and general populations research, her work encompasses CCI capacity-building for researchers and consumers, developing partnerships with various stakeholders and helping to translate evidence into practice to ensure CCI is present and supported in all research activities.
